MEDIA RELEASE

Niverville, Manitoba — Red River Grain Co. and Artel Inland Inc. are pleased to announce a new grain marketing option for farmers harvesting corn and soybeans in southeastern Manitoba.

As of today, Red River Grain (RRG) is purchasing corn and soybeans delivered to Artel Inland, located near Highway 59, east of Niverville.

This collaboration provides local farms with harvest flexibility, including off-the-combine delivery, on-site storage, and drying services. As with RRG’s Altona location, the Niverville facility’s drying capacity allows producers to deliver wet corn straight from the field.

“We specialize in grain handling and marketing, and we’re excited to offer more choice to growers in the Niverville area,” says Evan Erlandson, President of Red River Grain. “This partnership is a great fit for everyone involved — Artel Inland, the local farm community, and our team at Red River Grain.”

The state-of-the-art Artel facility can receive up to 12 thousand bushels per hour, unloading a Super B truck in an average of around seven minutes. Trucks picking up grain — usually destined for local feed mills — can be filled in as little as four minutes.

“We see this as a really good partnership, to be a satellite for Red River as a collection point, and another option for buying in the area,” says Grant Dyck, President of Artel Farms. “We really appreciate the team at Red River — very competent and like-minded progressive thinkers, and we’re looking forward to working with them.”
